Part A: Terms of Use and Disclaimer

1. Non-Official Content Status:

All scores, essays, advice, and opinions shared by users within the Community Feed are unofficial, unverified, and solely the views of the individual user. IELTS Pulse makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or efficacy of user-generated content.

2. No Guarantee of Scores:

Use of this community is for self-study and peer support only. IELTS Pulse and its community features do not guarantee, warrant, or imply any specific Band Score or outcome on the official IELTS examination.

3. Data and Moderation Rights:

IELTS Pulse reserves the absolute right to monitor, screen, edit, remove, or delete any content or user account at any time, for any reason, without prior notice, especially for violations of these rules.

4. Academic Integrity:

Sharing or soliciting actual live exam questions, copyrighted test materials, or engaging in any form of academic misconduct is strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate, permanent ban.

5. Assumption of Risk:

You use this community at your own risk. IELTS Pulse is not liable for any damages, losses, or offensive content encountered, or for any adverse interactions with other users.

Part B: Community Rule Book and Guidelines

Violation of these rules will trigger our 3-Strike Enforcement Policy (detailed below).

I. Respect and Conduct

R1 - Be Kind and Constructive: Treat all members with respect. Personal attacks, harassment, trolling, or bullying are strictly forbidden.

R2 - Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech: Content promoting discrimination, hatred, or violence based on race, gender, religion, or any protected characteristic will result in an immediate, permanent ban.

R3 - Keep it Professional: Posts and replies must remain focused on IELTS preparation and English learning. Avoid profanity, sexually explicit, or overly controversial political content.

R4 - No Impersonation: Usernames or profiles must not suggest you are an IELTS Pulse staff member, official IELTS examiner, or certified tutor unless officially verified by IELTS Pulse.

II. Content, Identity, and Privacy

R5 - No Real Names in Usernames: Do not use your full real name, phone number, or email address as your username.

R6 - Protect Your Data: Do not share any personal contact details (phone, email, social media links) in public posts, replies, or direct messages.

R7 - Original Work Only: Only post practice essays, notes, or recordings that are your own work. Cite sources when sharing external information.

R8 - No Financial Solicitation: Do not ask for or offer money, goods, or tokens outside of the official in-app mechanisms (e.g., Coin Boosts, Squad Buy-In). No posting links to personal payment services (e.g., Venmo, PayPal).

III. Social Feature Specifics

Peer Review

Reviewers must use the official rubric provided. Low-effort or spam reviews will result in the loss of "Verified Reviewer" status.

Coin Boost

The Coin Boost is for visibility, not spam. Do not use Boost to post identical, repetitive, or off-topic content.

Speaking Buddies

Users are expected to honor all scheduled appointments or deposits. Three confirmed no-shows will result in a 24-hour ban from the Speaking Buddy Finder.

Gamified Squads

Users must accept the inherent risk of the 'Pot Mechanic.' Elimination appeals based on failure to complete the AI task will not be accepted unless a technical error is proven.

🚨 Enforcement Policy (The Consequences)

All violations are tracked, and enforcement is applied as follows:

Strike 1 (Warning): A private, formal warning is sent to the user outlining the specific rule broken.

Strike 2 (Temporary Ban): The user's ability to post, reply, and use the Speaking Buddy Finder is suspended for 48 hours.

Strike 3 (Permanent Ban): The user is permanently banned from all Community Feed and social features.

Immediate Permanent Ban: Violations of R2 (Hate Speech) and Part A Section 4 (Academic Integrity/Cheating) will result in an immediate, zero-strike ban.
